BACKGROUND Tuesday night was a difficult evening for Tennessee residents. Many families lost their homes and are relying on public shelters.
This means that several family pets may have also become displaced, or may have been injured and require care that the family

Murfreesboro, TN, 2/8/08: On The Fifth Day, a 501(c)3 no-kill home for abused and homeless animals, travels to Macon
County on Saturday, 2/9/08, to help lost and stray animals affected by the tornadoes. With Sumner County Humane Society,
volunteers and members of the sanctuary will look for collars and ID's hoping to reunite pets and guardians.
Petco in The Avenue at Exit 76 off I-24 — 2615 Medical Center Parkway — will be the drop-off point for the public to take or purchase (at the location) dog and cat food for the mission. The sanctuary is also requesting bottled water in large quantities. "These animals have been dazed and confused for several days and basic necessities are essential now just to sustain life.
