Known location of rescued Katrina animal
Looking for their people
Director: Marilyn Knapp Litt
To find displaced people, tell them where their animal is located, and assist in animal/guardian reunions. Volunteers are assigned animal cases registered on PetFinder. They receive detailed rescue notes (some not available publicly) and guidelines to use search engines, survivor databases, crisscross directories, NetDetective, Lexis-Nexis, ChipTrace, etc. Stealth also circulates information about where to evacuate with animals and matches rescuers with supply resources or people whose animals need rescue.
*Kinship Circle does not use the language of slavery to depict nonhuman animals. Owner, owned, it… are replaced with guardian, him/her, caregiven… or other language that doesn't define animals as things and property. Any failure to modify text is unintended.
