We're in NOLA for the animals through January, into February, at which time we'll update you.
There are still thousands more out there. Animals around corners. In sewers. On ledges. In the woods.

They struggle to survive in a desolate, unstable environment that lacks usual food sources such as good Samaritan feedings or garbage output. Many of these animals languish in low populated areas slated for demolition. In addition, new litters exacerbate the problem tremendously...

Please make a New Year's resolution to volunteer your time and heart for animals in New Orleans.

WE NEED MANY MORE VOLUNTEERS FOR:
1). FOOD/WATER TEAMS: Responsible for keeping animals alive until they can be trapped. Does not require any specialized skills...just compassion and will!

2.) ON-SITE ANIMAL CAREGIVERS: Volunteers for animal care/socialization, dog walking, cleaning cages, animal intake, etc. We're not kidding. We REALLY need people now to work on-site at CS. Also looking for strong men or women able to lift/carry food pallets and other bulky supplies.

3.) TRAPPING TEAMS:ACOs, DVMs, Vet Techs or Experienced Humane Trappers. Encouraged to spend at least one week in New Orleans.

4.) RESCUE TEAMS: Rescue animals described in calls to our dispatch number as “animals in need.” Teams also comb city to pick up street animals who approach them without need to trap. Animal handling experience necessary.

5.) ADMINISTRATIVE: On-site volunteers needed to help track animals, record identity information, do data entry and photography, answer phones.

6.) TRANSPORTS: Essential for streamlining the daily flow of both animals and supplies in/out of Celebration Station. Anyone who can rent or bring their own mini-van, SUV, or truck is appreciated!

7.) ON-SITE VET TECHS & VETERINARY ASSISTANTS: Your expertise needed to assist with intake/assessment of new arrivals and ongoing animal care. Submit a volunteer form
